When I open RF tabs, the “find Shure devices” tab will not function. I believe I have networked it properly to my CDM32

How close do they have to be?

They have to be in the same subnet. The subnet generally consists of the first 3 numbers in an IP address, when the net mask is set to 255.255.255.0. The last digit must be unique on each device, and cannot be .0 or .255
