I tried a search and couldn’t find what I was after. Situation is doing a mon/foh digital split.
We setup an idr48 to have control of the pre’s and then use port b to link to a idr16 for foh duties. A few times we have tried doing this and we run into the same problem of only being able to get 32 channels from the idr48 to the idr16. Anything past ACE channel 32 does not show up on the console connected to the idr16.
Is there something simple we are missing when we try to run like this?

It sounds like you need to enable redundant mode on the iDR-16 Port B ACE card. This is in Mixer Preferences, Port A/B Setup. It is not obvious, but you need this switched on in order to receive 64 channels using one cable (redundant mode ‘off’ will take channels 1-32 from Link 1, and 33-64 from Link 2). As a bonus, this will also allow you to conenct two cables for redundant back up.

this is very sneaky and i think this should be defaulted as on…being the redundant link in the on state.

at least it should get relabeled in the next firmware
