LIVE Event, Lost Sound

Last Saturday I was working a charity event and playing live music. Most everything went off without a hitch, until the charity event was over and we were transitioning to the band. I muted mics and pushed ipod music to the mains, no sound came out. I could see the bluetooth channel showing a signal but nothing was pushing out. I sent the signal to an on stage monitor and it worked just fine… still nothing out of the mains. Panic set in as I struggled to figure out what I did wrong as no other changes had been made, mains were unmuted and sends were correct.

I ended up rebooting my CQ-20b and the mains came on after the reboot. This is NOT the first time something like this has happened. I’m loosing confidence in using my CQ-20b for live performances.

Has anyone experienced this before?

Thx all!

Not like this, but my CQ did fail to record the multitrack at my last gig. The files were all there at the end, but they were 0bytes each…

Could be a fault with the console but it’s often worth checking your DCA assignments. If the channel is up but the DCA it’s assigned to is not there will be no output to the MAINS LR. Aux sends (pre fader) will still work yet the mains will not. Worth checking to see if the Bluetooth channel was accidentally assigned to a DCA.
