My company has recently sold 3 GLD 80 consoles and everyone’s pretty happy so far. However, the other day I noticed that one of the consoles as a very long startup time, 1-2 minutes vs the 10 seconds it takes for the other boards to boot. On all three boards I get a quick view of linux, some distorted looking color bars, and then two of the boards immediately start up. The third one hangs at a black screen with a cursor for a minute or two and then starts up. Firmware I believe is 1.02 on all three. I definitely updated the board with the error myself. Is this a known problem? What’s happening here?
Check that DHCP is not enabled in Setup/Config, Network tab.
If DHCP is enabled and no DHCP server is active on the network, you might experience a long boot-up time.
If the problem still occurs please contact Tech Support through this page https://www.allen-heath.com/uk/support/Pages/support.aspx.
I hope this helps,
