Anyone tried one of these in a USB dock for recording from your SQ? Did it work well?

I did that once and it was OK. But, after some advice on a forum, I bought this exact USB stick and it’s brilliant. Never lost any recording and it reads/writes whole shows in a few seconds.
If you go for it, make sure you get this exact model. I’m UK but bought from Amazon US. No issues at all.

I might get one. I am admittedly, very gun shy about using “sticks” in my SQ, only using externally powered external SSDs. Lots of horrors stories out there about failures with “sticks.” No failures with my drives but not as simple as plugging in a “stick”.

Just be aware that that will be more difficult to find soon as it is now EOL
I think the key with this one is the really fast write speeds. But yea, YMMV. For £40 it’s probably worth getting one and trying it out on a non important gig first. TBH if recording is crucial/part of the service you’re offering, I’d record it on a laptop via the USB and only use the stick as a safety net.

Looks like this is the replacement - write speeds the same but now has both USB-A and USB-C connectors. Price has moved around a lot so I think I’ll set a trigger and get it when it drops again. Thanks again, @ShadowSound
