One frequent request is submix groups, but the “CPU” can’t allow more channels/mixing.
I wonder, what if the user can “convert” any channel into “matrix routing”, with no eq/compressor/etc?
Just levels of all other channel mains (pre fader?).
So we could have a channel “drums”, set level for any input drums channel, the out will be one drum group that can be routed to mains/aux/phones…
I think the simpler way to implement is add “Matrix bus” into Quick selection.
Hi,
after some sketch, re-thinking & re-done, I ended into an advanced proposal!
- add Matrix Channel to Quick channel;
- The core processing is a 8 x (2+6) ch matrix;
- Each subchannel should be an unmatrixed/avalaible input ch (including USB and such);
- Each subch has selectable PEQL/PCL/PFL/AFL original channel source;
- optional EQ/COMP IF there is CPU processing power (no gate),
Usage: as a matrix mixer, as a “duplicate input with different processing”, as a group 8ch mixer, up to 8ch-into mono/stereo rerouter, as “phones listening submix”.
Cons: the input sockets used as matrix are “blocked”, no input…
