ME-1 and SQ-6. Getting signal post-gain

I’ve scoured the SQ-6 user guide (SQ guide, I guess) and it’s very sparse on mentioning ME and how to manage the signal it gets. In the ME videos and documentation they basically, say it’s all “automagic” which is great for initial setup, but doesn’t help my question.

It seems we are getting signal pre-fader, which means it’s tweaked for our PA, or the engineer’s mix, and usually sounds terrible to the individual musicians.

Is there a way to get the signal going to the ME’s to be post gain, or any other point in the signal chain on a given channel, or groups of channels?

The primary issues are for instruments that tend to not match the initial signal, such as acoustic, e-guitar, keys…

Thanks in advance!

+1 to this question please. I’m trying to figure out how I can get the ME’s to be pre-mute.
Thx in advance.

I don’t have ME, but I can see from the documentation that the Dir Outs can also be used for ME.
This should provide all 7 source points, and it should also be possible to have the signal follow the faders and mutes.

SQuser is correct.

There isn’t a setting in the ME system to change this behaviour. It all depends on how you route the audio TO the ME that will determine if the audio is prefader or post fader. So look at your Routing tab and change the routing method or “pick point” to want ever you need.
