We need to have several ME-1s set up in two distinct areas of our stage. The first group will be located near our dSnake and the other group will be on the opposite site of the stage. Can we daisy chain POE switches (or regular and POE Switches) to reach these two areas? If not, what is the best way to run these?
Hi Shawn,
Yes, you can daisy chain PoE switches.
Have a look here for some guidelines on the device: https://support.allen-heath.com/Knowledgebase/Article/View/702/0/me-1-compatibility-with-a-third-party-switch
Hi, Sorry to bump an old thread - but i recently got 2 unmanaged POE switches to run ME units with POE. The units plugged into the daisy chained switch indicate they have audio being received and output (Metering), however, do not out put any audio.
Is this normal or is there an easy fix?
Thanks
Ben
I just installed this switch.
TP-Link 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet PoE+ Rackmount Energy-efficient Switch with 124W 8-PoE+ Ports (TL-SG1008PE) Amazon.com: TP-Link Jetstream : Electronics
Works great! With our ME 1s and GLD 112
Mrvoltz,
How many ME-1s are you running simultaneously with that TP-Link switch?
Thanks!
