Hello all. I’ve been having an issue with my ME1 system not syncing source name with the input names on the avantis console they’re connected to. All other functions appear to be working fine; signal is reaching the correct channels, channel controls on the ME work fine, etc. but for some reason the source names are reflecting an old input list and will not update. I’ve tried loading a different show file on the avantis and double checking firmware on avantis and ME are up to date. Any suggestions?
Are you connecting them directly or utilizing an MEU switch, and what protocol are you using(ie Dante, Waves, EtherSound, etc…). If utilizing the MEU, make sure it is not setup for fixed static names on the channels. If using Dante, or others, the names are static in the MEU and would require you to manually change them in the MEU config setup.
I’ll also add that with each individual ME device, on each and every source (each can be set differently), you have the option of using the name that is passed over by the system or a custom name. It’s quite possible that your MEs have been set up to use custom names for the sources. If that is the case, by design it’s not going to change with the system names. I suspect this is the root of your problem and luckily it is “self inflicted” and not a bug or larger problem.
