I have a question about midi.
Is the midi protocol for CQ a fixed feature that have reach its full potential or other functionalities could be added in the future ?
Can for example the Play/Stop/Pause/Next/Previous of the USB reader be controlled via midi in a future updated ?

Basically A&H NEVER reveal what May or can be done. However from my experience of all other digital desk ranges they make, it is not one of the MIDI command groups implemented.
You can however, make the soft keys into transport control functions, then remotely access those keys via MIDI commands, which is what has always been recommended by A&H for SQ users.
For CQ, soft key set to either Previous/Stop/start/Pause or Next cannot be controlled via midi.

It’s possible to ‘virtually’ press the SoftKeys using MIDI as described here -

This then means that any of the SoftKey functions can be controlled remotely.
e.g. You could send a note on every beat to control a tap tempo or control the stereo/multitrack recording as you want to here.

Got it now.
My sequential notes for the 3 soft starts a note 48.
But it is working fine.
