MIDI to DMX instead of DAW?

Hi all, For my small time sound operation I have a couple of lights that I have to operate with a small IR remote. This isn’t very handy of course while I’m mixing (Qu-SB so tablet) at the same time.

It suddenly dawned on me that maybe I could use the midi capabilities of the mixer to control (via a midi to dmx convertor of sorts) my lights. Is this even possible or can I save myself the trouble ? It doesn’t have to be very complicated, maybe dim the lights for a break, change the tempo, that sort of things….

Thanks in advance for your time/input !

With QLC+ it is doable. You can capture the MIDI signals and use them to start all kinds of functions. On the forum, there are quite a few M32 posts.

Thank you GGGss ! I’m gonna look into that :+1:

Don’t be tempted to try QLC+ v5 - stick to the v4.
Thank me later  (v5 is only released a week ago and ow boy, I can hardly follow their forum due to the huge amounts of how-to’s and issues.
