Mix LR to Matrix Pre fader question

Hi,
I want to EQ the LR mix, then send out a copy of the mix to a Matrix Pre fader, and “pre-processing!” Pre PEQ/Compressor.
Is it possible?

What is the reason to do this?

I do it the other way… put the matrix on the PA and normally have no processing on the master enabled
so only the Matrix gets processed

It is possible? how? I tried doing it last night, I passed true all processing while being Pre Fader.
