Hi
I have an issue where the iDR Mix rack is connected, but the channles are all showing as if there is audio at peak. In the logs it is showing “Mix Rack Main Board is Off”.
This morning I booted the ID and the I live and they all booted absolutely fine and I ran a 58 through the idea. I always seem nice and happy and about 10 minutes after booting all channels showed full input signal and the logs showed main board is off.
You should contact the official A&H support and/or your local supplier for more assistance. That is clearly not normal behavior and more diagnosis will be required.
I’ve had something like this happen to my iDR-48. Do all channels show full-to-the-top signal and the outputs die?

Since I upgraded to a dLive in 2018, my IDR48 has been used as an analogue to MADI interface in my studio. Along with the dLive S7000, it was in the lockup which was flooded in 2019. Both the IDR and the S7000 were dismantled and cleaned, and both still work, but the IDR recently has displayed exactly the symptom described above. I use iLive Editor running on the studio PC to operate the rack. When it boots, the blue power LED spuriously goes on and off, as if it’s struggling to start, and you can hear the clicking of relays associated with that.
I can click the channel PADs in and out on Editor, but the metering on all channels (input and output) is showing full-scale reading. There appears to be no audio passing in or out, but the MADI interface card seems to operate OK, and can be seen as locked to the RME Madiface it’s connected to.
When it finally boots and appears to stabilise, sometimes the meters will go off, but always in blocks of eight. This kind of makes sense given there are six audio daughter boards sitting on a backplate, which is then fitted to the mainboard.
I haven’t checked the logs in Editor yet - will try that before I replace the battery. The only other mod that this unit has had done is replacing the fans with three Noctua quiet ones - much better!
