I just upgraded my Avantis to V2 and have discovered that Mixing Station no longer connects to the mixer. I had also updated OneMix but had to roll the mixer back to V1.36 to get MS control back for now. Of course I can’t use OneMix anymore now that it’s been updated but the big issue is whether any of you have experienced the same problem with Mixing Station and Avantis V2, and if you did, have you discovered a workaround. I’ll poke around Mixing Station help looking for a solution as well. Thanks in advance for any help you may offer.
Yep. Thanks. Saw that before I wrote. And it’s the reason I rolled my system back to the older version. It’s clearly not supported yet. I also didn’t see anything on their site with an estimate of an update. I know, no one wants to put that info out in advance of the update. I’ll just have to wait until I can play with the new V2 features. Just cooling my heels…
The current beta of MS (released Wednesday) is allready compatible with fw2. So expect the public version to roll out soon.
MS is very good about posting in the MS pages when new firmwares come out to avoid them if MS is key to your workflow. Mlst manufacturers do not give the MS guys an advanced copy so theyre getting it the same time the rest of us do and have to then go do the development to support it. Sometimes the changes are substantial and could take a while.
I care about MS support more than any new features so I only update after its approved unless its specifically to help the MS Dev test (some of us do that frequently for hardware MS doesn’t have) but that console would never go to a gig until ready.
