Hi All,
I have an Alan and Heath ML-4000 with a defective CPU PCB. The NiCad battery has leaked and eaten up the PCB AG3718 iSS2. The desk is like new even being so old so I am looking for a used PCB. ANYONE?
Really A&H should cover this, as it is a common defect. If they would have put the battery beside the PCB all would still be good and just a battery would needed to be replaced.
well here is what A&H told me.
“Your console has come to the end of its life”
Now isen’t that sweet! They build a CPU board with a Nicad battery over it, as they know in an amount of years ,it will leak and scrap the board. Well x you A&H ! I repaired the PCB tracks and replaced the burned components. I also mounted the replacement battery on the side of the PCB as it should have been originally. The LAST A&H product i buy!
Cheers.
Whilst I understand that you’ve had a frustrating experience with this, the ML-4000 was discontinued nearly 15 years ago.
We always do our very best to support hardware well beyond its life on the shelves, but unfortunately there is always a point at which we’re no longer able to manufacture or supply spares.
