With the limited detail on the channel strip LCD’s on the SQ, compared to other desks, it would be handy to have some more colours to choose from then the eight it comes with.
This limitation is something I too find annoying sometimes. It applies to all the A&H mixers, not just SQ, and was similar with the legacy ILive and GLD. It cannot be impossible to allow each of the three colours to be variable not just on/off!

I would love even just a couple more color options! I always use all colors, besides black/gray because I can’t see/read it, and always wish I had just one or two more color options.

To get votes, you could (and should) submit it as a feature request.
However, it’s worth considering that the stripes per channel represent a field for 6 characters, each with only 5x7 pixels.
And with only 35 pixels, it will likely be very difficult to create clearly recognizable and distinguishable symbols.
