All 6 Aux’s on my CQ20 are now assigned to IEMs, and the mains are connected to the two other outputs. I still need to connect a subwoofer. Any ideas on how to do this? Thanks. James
On the CQ-20B you’ve also got the Alt Out A and B sockets - these can be set up in Config → Outputs → Alt Out and set to any of the mix outputs, listen bus or main LR. They give you an extra physical set of outputs but not an extra mix, so your downstream sub will need its own crossover as the processing will be shared with whatever else is on that mix.
So let me see if I understand. My single sub is a passive JBL running through a Crown amp set to Crossover mode, which I would connect to Alt Out A. So I would then choose one of assigned Aux mixes to share with Alt Out A? Or am I being a blockhead? Hey, we don’t have a sound guy.
You’ve got it, you’re not being a blockhead!
Thank you. Hope you have a beautiful day!
I can’t quite understand the apparent agreement to this.
If your 6 (Aux) OUTs are 6 different in-ear mixes, then it makes no sense to try and feed your subs from one of them.
In my opinion, the ALT Out should be assigned to your Main mix.
Yup, just about to say that.
