MultiChannel Recording with FX

Just been experimenting a bit with various settings in the CQ20B and Mixpad.
Raised a question for me re multi channel recording mode.

Are all multichannel recordings sent to the SD card always recorded as dry channels? I note on playback on the mixer I can disable any FX. Is that because the FX is only within the CQ Mixer and software itself and the dry tracks are just playing back via the settings to the mixer?

If they are always recorded dry (no Fx) can you save recordings with FX?

Thanks
David

Think I may have found the answer here on the QU forum page assuming the hardware / software functions of the two mixers are the same.

I assume all recording points are taken from the the signal chain selection point, dry being pre fader. The fx is recorded in the 17/18 channel post all FX. Playing that channel back all the FX is embedded. So assuming identical hardware on the CQ channels are all dry if recorded with the pre fader setting.

Confirmation that my findings and assumptions are correct here would be useful so this old fella doesn’t keep doubting himself on his self education journey with the CQ20b being my first digital mixer.

Cheers
David
