This was in a SQ discussion in 2018 and it was not allowed at that point for the SQ line. However I am not aware of any protocol governing the use of multiple devices simultaneously controlling a CQ20b. Keith should respond to this question.

You might be able to do this with BomeBox. You could route two BomeBox attached MIDI ports to the single SQ TCP connection, so the SQ would just see it as one connection.

Hi Hugh,
You can connect up to 8 remote apps to the CQ for control, 2x CQ-MixPad and 6x CQ4You (one for every mix) and use all of them simultaneously.
The only things that have a single connection, which you may be thinking of, are USB and MIDI over TCP (network MIDI).
It is not possible to connect the mixer as a client to multiple USB hosts, and TCP MIDI is similarly a single point-to-point connection.
As Steve has said, a workaround for the MIDI side of things would be to have Bomebox manage the single MIDI network connection as well as allow merging and routing of MIDI messaging between this and almost any other MIDI device (with or without translation!).
Thanks,
Keith.
Thank you Keith for your prompt and informative response!
I am a very satisfied CQ20b owner,
Hugh
