Hi,

Is there a way to assign a soft key to mute all channels on the QU-7D?

Yes. You would need to create a mute group and add all (desired) channels to it.
Then you assign this to a soft key.

Or alternatively have the soft key set to mute the LR fader

“All channels” could mean “all input channels” and/or “all mix channels”.
If you only mute the Main LR, that’s something completely different, because you would only muting your PA system.
If you were to do this to, for example, change the cabling of your inputs without noise, you might still hear some very unpleasant surprises in your monitor speakers or inears.

Doing it that way, you would also lose ability for playback music during changeovers in a gig situation.
