I vote for.
On the X32 there is an option called " safe main level" that allow to set main L/R fader automatically down when a scene is recalled.
That would be a good improvement.
Don’t hesitate also to click on “Vote” top left.
If you want your outputs muted on scene recall, just save them that way.
Many people use scenes for things where you very much want audio to continue passing.
That would be an option to activate or not.
Yes I agree, in an ideal world, but if an option existed on the recall scene page, it would be a fail safe. Understand break music playback being uninterrupted would better be Maybe two options Mute Mains and Mute Aux’s ???
As Dustin mentioned, the user is already in control of this functionality…
If you want a scene(s) to load with the outputs muted - save the scene with them muted.
If you don’t want a scene(s) to load with the outputs muted - save the scene with them unmuted.
If you saved the scene previously, but want to change how this works on a particular scene - load the scene, make the change, and save the scene. Now the next time you load the scene it will work as desired.
Easy…
Everyone has their own opinion, but honestly I wouldn’t want the system to mute the outputs when loading a scene - even as a user defined choice. It’s just one more place to have to check to make sure the functionality I programmed into my scene will actually work as intended. Having the outputs muted on a scene recall when the scene was specifically saved with unmuted outputs would be really bad.
Now I understand that a lot of people use scenes more like “show files” where a scene is saved for each different event/band/facility etc etc etc. This is especially common on consoles like the CQ that only allow you to have one show file loaded in the console at a time. I can see where if you are loading in a scene at the beginning of the event, you might want the outputs muted in that case.
But technically show files are designed to be created for each different event/band/facility, and then scenes are designed to be used during the event when it is unlikely that you want your outputs muted automatically. Therefore it would be more appropriate to have show files load with the outputs muted, but not scenes.
