Need help on using 1/4" TRS Inputs on SQ

My Old A&H WZ3 & QU24 had TRS Inputs. But it seems with SQ A&H only provide XLR inputs. So if we have Instruments that provide a 1/4" Line-Out. The below are the ways I think we can connect.

a. Use a DI Box.
b. If using a Digital Stagebox, use a 1/4 to XLR Cable.

Option-a, requires carrying additional equipment.

Option-b, recently ran into an issue where the Keyboard player had a pedal that only required “Mono” cable and previous show we had a keyboard player that required a Stereo cable. So do we need to carry 2 types of converter cables XLR to 1/14 Mono. & XLR to 1/4 Stereo.

Please let me know, the best way to handle the above situation. As most instruments have TRS LineOuts.

Thanks.

On the back of the SQ you have 4 TRS inputs.
just patch those as needed in the I/O tab.

Thank you for the response.

Yes,thats good to know.

a. Use a DI Box.
That’s the professional way.

b. If using a Digital Stagebox, use a 1/4 to XLR Cable.
You should also use a DI-Box in this case, as you can use your cable to damage your keyboard with the phantom power.

So do we need to carry 2 types of converter cables
No - you can also use the left channel of your stereo cable for the mono pedal - but always in a pinch!

Please let me know, the best way to handle the above situation.
The best way is always a DI-Box – also because of the “ground lift” option.
Some instrument amplifiers have also an XLR output you could use.
