We’re about to do an Avantis installation and I’m looking for those well versed in the A&H’s ecosystem to make sure I’m understanding what I’m seeing.
Will any of these two diagrams work, is there an easier way?
The ar84 isn’t gonna work, dx busses are 96khz
Why not a gigaace card? It’s cheaper

You can’t use 48kHz Stageboxes on the DX port.
Ah okay, so the stage boxes can’t be clocked at a lower sample rate then?
Every I/O needs to be clocked at the native build?
Even if the two will runon the same sample rate it would not work because they are working with different protocolls. The DX012 and other DX stageboxes are using the DX protocol but the AR084 is working eith the dSnake protocol, and those protocols are incompatible. On an SLink Port you can use devices with either dSnake, DX or gigaACE protocol, but only one protocol at once. No mix is allowed.
Use GigaAce card for connecting GX4816 and built Slink for 48KHz expanders on Dsnake protocols (AR84, AR2412, AB168).
