Hello,
I’m just wondering if i did the damage to the slink ports myself.
I have a FOH SQ5 and Broadcast SQ5. Normally I have FOH set to internal clock source and the second one set to Slink clock source. is this correct ? It’s been long since I set it up I can’t remember. Anyways right at the end of show yesterday we lost sync and audio dropped out. had the little yellow caution sign on the broadcast console indicating no sync. Now today tried to get it going and nothing. no connection. I think i may have caused it myself as I saw the stage box on when I was leaving after setup and just unplugged so it wasn’t on all night… so now i think it must have caused a surge into the network connection and blew the port. does that sound about right…trying to preserve the gear i end up breaking it…no lights on slink ports on both consoles.
thanks for any suggestions.
Thanks for all your concern …turns out it was network cable that had been damaged.

Glad you figured it out. I was going to say that it would be extremely uncommon/unlucky to damage equipment simply by turning off a device - even if it was powered off “out of sequence”.
