No sound from main outs to speakers when monitor is plugged into aux 1

when I set up my PA with Kam compact tops and bass bins and my A&H ZED 14 desk , i get no sound to speakers when I plug my monitor into the Aux outputs , when i unplug my monitor, I get sound, I am a newbie to live sound and all this stuff so please forgive my ignorance. thank you

I hardly dare to say this, but the first logical and obvious explanation to me would be if you connected your monitors not to the Aux 1+2 outputs, but accidentally to the Insert LR jacks located directly next to them.

No definetly didn’t do that

Kind Regards

What you mean with monitor? A speaker?
How do you set up your main PA? XLR?

Yes, or to put it another way: How do you connect your monitor (singular) to outputs (plural)?

The aux jacks have no switching function whatsoever.
If it were a loose connection, there wouldn’t be any reproducible results, which seems to be the case.

Only professional audio equipment is involved, and you’re also certain that no one has modified anything on the console?

i am using a 6mm jack to female XLR cable to mic input on my roland street cube amp which I am using as a monitor. When i do this I have signal on my monitor(street cube amp) but no sound in my bass bins or tops . but when i plug out the monitor i get sound thru my bins and tops. but they wont work together

Really? Wow!

Where do you put the plugs?

Post a couple of pictures of the mixer with everything connected at the mixer and the connections plugged in on the speakers.

Since, according to the technical documentation, your Aux1-4 Out jacks have no switching function (unlike the LR inserts - see red in the image), it makes no sense that inserting a 6.3mm jack plug would disconnect the signals to one or both XLR output jacks.
However, if this is reliably and reproducibly different in your case, then, at least in my understanding, it would likely more be possible that a technical modification of your console has been made.

He is using female XLR…

Which, in fact, wouldn’t be possible without a adapter.

But that’s not the point; but the jack socket, which is supposed to disconnect a different signal flow elsewhere when a plug is inserted.
It sounds very strange.
