Hi,
As a CQ-12T user, I’m impressed by the ‘smart’ features like Gain Assistant and FBA. However, I’d like to suggest adding an Official MCP (Model Context Protocol) Server to the CQ series.
I recently saw this demo of an X32 being controlled by Claude AI via MCP: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BiMFtvolm6U
The workflow improvement is huge: naming channels from a stage plot image, setting initial EQs/Gates via natural language, and configuring monitor mixes instantly. And this is just the tip of the iceberg—once this bridge exists, who knows what creative and efficient use cases the community will discover.
I understand why the native communication protocol is kept proprietary, but an MCP server is the perfect solution. It acts as a secure “black box”—letting AI tools interact with the mixer through a controlled schema without ever exposing the underlying binary protocol.
This would make the CQ series the first truly ‘AI-Native’ mixer on the market, giving us a massive edge in setup speed and accessibility for everyone from hobbyists to pros.
Is this something the software team is looking into?
Thanks!
