Outboard D/A With Your QU?

Anyone using an outboard D/A in the studio with the QU? Since I’ll be using it in a fixed location I was thinking of getting a Benchmark D/A to use via the AES out. Anyone doing something similar?

Yes I use a Dangerous Source via the aes out on the QU to feed my monitors and headphones. Works great and he dangerous is a very flexible unit with a great d/a

I’m running AES into a Waves MaxxBCL.

Waves D/A is transformer based mastering grade, it sounds absolutely incredible!

I bypass the Qu compressor on my mains and use the Renaissance Compressor instead.

MaxxBass around 38Hz, 60-70% gives a nice thick low end.

Then the L2 to brick wall limit.

I don’t think it’s possible to get a better setup at any price for something so compact.

The Qu has great conversion already, but a high end D/A really does make a difference.
