The main LR properly contains the effects I chose, but an output mix for record does not have them. How can I send the wet signal to that record mix? We are using an SQ-6. Thanks
By doing the same thing in the recording mix as in the Main LR mix:
You open the corresponding FX Return faders.
My first question is just if your “ouput mix” that you want to record is a stereo buss, or if we are talking about a multitrack output were you are trying to record the individual sources.
Based on the original question, I’m going to assume that it is not a multitrack setup and you are just trying to record a buss. That being said, the answer does depend on how you are routing audio to the “record” output. If the record output is a Matrix buss which has the Main LR buss as it’s source, the FX should be heard in the record matrix already because it is already being heard in the MainLR buss.
On the other hand, if you are sending individual channels/groups to a “Record Aux Buss”, then you need to make sure the send level for the various FX returns are turned up in the “record aux buss” - just like you would turn up the send levels of the individual channels for that aux.
Obviously I think the second example is how you are handling things and the problem is easy enough to fix by adjusting the FX return send levels for that record aux.
Thanks Brian. I’ll check that out.
