We have a small church sanctuary and are using a basement (about 30’ by 30’) as an overflow. We are using Mix 9-10 on a QU-16 to send the output to a sound bar below a TV where we stream a camera feed. The sound is awful so we’d like to install 6 small speakers throughout to get better sound. I am a newbie at this and I am looking for recommendations on speakers and set up.
Tone, dispersion, and throw. It’s not an upper end sound bar for sure. We also have the issue that the sound bar disperses the sound up through the floor of the sanctuary. We were thinking of ceiling mounted speakers that directed sound down. It’s a rented building so we can’t pull down the ceiling to install sound proofing.
Maybe cut some of the low end on the feed to the basement soundbar.
How are you connecting the audio from the mixer to the soundbar, chances are you could be on the edge of over driving the sound bar input.
The sound bar input is certain to be an unbalanced stereo input the wrong connections from balanced to unbalanced can cause issues.
