Right now, assigning an input (for stage director/producer/director/intercoms/talkback) into the P/AFL bus has no effect.
I’d like to be able to hear them no matter what I hit P/AFL on.
Is it possible to make this a feature?

maybe it is switched off by default?
External input to the PAFL bus works just fine, and is permanent.
Needs to be more than one input.
The feature is there, you just need to do it properly and not blame the console. You can just make a communication AUX, and feed it to the external input. As everyone else does on every other console.
I just thought that it was a rather roundabout way of doing things since there already is a P/AFL bus.
Going back out just to come in.
Addressed in firmware 1.70.
Much thanks, dev team.
Huh? No. You still have only 1 external input to the PAFL.
but, you can use a mix as the input
Corright!
How do I patch the PAFL output to an input channel in Director?
I see MixRack Input Sockets (Local/DX/IO) for possible inputs to each channel, but I don’t see PAFL outputs as possible inputs.
In the 1.70 video seminar, it shows that this is possible, but I can’t see how it’s done.
Never mind. I see you have to do it from the PreAmp page, it’s not part of IO page for some reason…
I also have a talkback aux where I feed all talkbacks from stage, Foh, coms etc. I use the external input to pafl. It works great. Alternatively, you could feed the pafl bus to a matrix and then feed the matrix to your ears. You can then feed whatever you would like to the matrix. I prefer the six so I can easily mute the coms channel when I want to hear exactly what the musicians hear. I guess you could create a mute group for that as well. The six works fine for me.
