Had a PAFL button fail on my t112, it still works, but doesn’t spring back up and is really hard to operate. Question, is this an easy fix that I can do in the field, or do I have to send it in?? I would hate to have down time and expense for a stupid button that I barely use?
you could try a contact cleaner/lubricant spray to free it up (one suitable for electronic gear - be sure to read the spray product precautions first!). I have had other equipment with sticking buttons and it is usually because of dust/contaminates/sticky liquid etc getting between the switch knob and the chassis. Spray from the top and wipe excess off straight away, toggle the switch and it should free up. Allow to dry/evaporate.
