Pan Main LR stereo output

Is there a way to pan the stereo output of Main LR, in other words, use the board to make the right amp/speaker softer than the left?

Have you tried pressing SEL on the Main LR mix and turn the pan knob? Sorry, don’t mean to come across crass but it should be that simple. I have to admit that I’m not in front of my SQ at the moment and am not sure I’ve ever panned the main LR on that board but it’s that simple on the GLD board that I have.

On SQ mix pad app, in offline mode, I can select Main LR, press routing, and move the “Output Bal” slider

We tried that, the pan knob does not work with Main LR selected. And there is no pan option on the screen either.
I’ll try what you suggested on the mix pad, but it would be nice to have the feature on the actual mixer. Anyone else know the answer?

Hmm. I’ll check Sunday when I’m at my board. Is it possible that you have the output configured as mono?

Thanks. The tech who installed it said it was stereo.

It’s not that easy to find it.

but it would be nice to have the feature on the actual mixer.

By the way, you can also be adjusted on the console using “LR - routing - Main - Main Snd” (see also the short section on page 40 in the manual).
I didn’t know this myself because I’ve never used it before.
We never stop learning. )

Yes, thank you very much. I did find this morning also

Also be aware that the balance in this screen is controlled by the knob on the lower right, and not by the Pan knob.

I confirmed the same on my SQ today. It appears that, unlike GLD, SQ doesnt allow use of the pan knob for any mix (LR or other mix). Seems like a miss or a bug to me. Not sure why you wouldn’t enable that. I’m using firmware 1.5.9. Will update to the latest and see if it happens to work.

But it could also be intentional, as the MAIN mix is “sacred” in most cases and they want prevent an accidental changing of the panning.
We will see it in the future - or not.
