password

Darn I had never thought this would happen to me. :frowning:

Just started up the SQ-5 to make the initial setup for a job next weekend,
and it prompts me to login with the admin user and a password.

First it baffeled med, as I usually do not have any passwords set on the console, then it dawned:
Last job I had with it, I had to leave the console unguarded at some point, and set an easy password.
Even madea note on a piece of paper I took with me.

Now that note is naturally gone, and I forgot to remove the password before packing up after the job.

Is there any way I can get the console reset, and the password removed?
No problem if that means completely reset and all settings/scenes etc gone, I have them on a ssd if needed.

Or am I stuck with sending it to the distributer for a “proper” reset?

And yes, it is an error 40, no need to remind me.

Panic aborted, found the note and got into the console again

Now let my problem be a warning to all my fellow SQ’ers out there, remember your passwords or at least remember where you place the memory post-it note for later

Board Full Reset:
Reference Guide V1.5.0 Page 107:

17.2 System Reset To perform a full system reset, hold the EQ ‘In’ and ‘HF’ keys when powering on the SQ. This will clear all mix settings and all saved data, including Shows/Scenes and Libraries, and will revert the SQ to its initial state. Before you carry out a system reset, back-up any data you wish to keep using a USB device or SQ-MixPad.
