Patching overview and navigation

I just put this in the suggestion box, and am repeating it here to campaign for votes.

I think this could be really useful.

The problem with the patching grid, is only a portion of the available points are visible at one time, so you can spend a fair amount of time scrolling. If you have something patched well up in the channels and don’t remember where, it can be a where’s waldo sort of search.

So, my suggestion is an overview screen of the fully zoomed out grid. It could be accessed by double tapping the patch button (for instance). Then the view zooms out to show the entire set of available patches (admittedly tiny). You then tap on the hunted tiny patch, and it zooms in to that area full size.

If there are no patches, double tap the patch button again to return to the ‘home’ grid.

This gets you to any patch in basically two clicks, instead of a bunch of swipes.

Or just select the ‘processing’ button and scroll to the channel of interest and you are shown what the patch is (e.g. local input 24).

Tap on the patch to change it.

Possible I am reading this wrong, but isn’t it possible to pinch to zoom on the patch screen to either zoom in or out to show more or less? Been a while since I used my SQ-5, but I have it in my head that I was able to do that on it.

Unfortunately this isn’t an option. I think your screen pinch idea is brilliant though!

I am totally misremembering it then. Strange it isn’t on the SQ since it is newer software.
I know it is a feature on the dLive anyway.
