The pick point for Auxes should have the same level of options that the direct out point does. Right now there is no way to send an IP to an Aux post Compression but pre Insert 2. I insert auto tune on Insert 2 and I’d love to send my singers mic to their aux post compression (not always, but sometimes) but pre auto tune.
What if you swap the EQ and Compressor order on that vocal? I believe that should make the “Post-PEQ” aux pick point occur after both the compressor and PEQ. I haven’t tried it to be sure, but looking at the block diagram it seems to indicate that this is how it will function. (There is a dotted line representing the ability to move the compressor to before the PEQ).
Interesting idea for a work around. I hadn’t considered that. I’ll try it the next time I’m on the desk. The director software implies that it would work.
