I usually take a digital measure and set a delay with that. But it would be nice to add a 1 second ping (similar to a “wood block “metronome ping) to the sig gen options. With, say a 1 second gap (or adjustable) to make it easy to do this by ear.
I would like that too. I spoke to the person who wrote the software I have used for RTA and they don’t do it either. The best thing I’ve been able to use is a click trac that our drummer uses and let that run while I use my RTA in oscilloscope mode to see if the peaks get distorted from in front of to behind a fill that needs correct time delay. A little crude but I think effective especially if I start with a delay matching the measured distance.
Cool. Can you click ‘vote’?
But please vote also for your suggestion yourself! )
I would also appreciate that.
While a measured result may be precise, but I prefer to adjust it by ear whenever possible and move the source to the desired “position”.
By the way, we called this thing a “woodpecker”. )
Woodpecker is a great name for it!
I have voted now. Will you?
Now me too . . . . )
+1 from me.
