Has anybody used PL-6 or any other PL-ANET control surface as personal monitor mixers like Avioms with any degree of success?

In holland we have someone who is using 10! Pl10 for IEM mixes on stage
works perfectly and as an engineer he can still change the mixes (as musicians have a way of putting everything as loud as possible)
with aviom you are not able to make changes
i gave a drummer a PL10 once … he loved it, but it took ages to setup in advance of the show.
The thing is the only way i could see of making it work was to create 8x Stereo Groups and then map each group to each rotary knob.
Then i could send KSH to Grp1, Toms to Grp2, bass to Grp3 etc etc…
Time consuming stuff.
I would like to see a PL controller with maybe 16 rotary controls on it ( and for the best flexibility “Shift Function” keys so that could effectively double the controls to 32 or 48 etc etc
