You have the USB I/O available if you simply want to send/receive audio from another source (like a computer running a DAW), but that is very different from “linking” systems together.
The CQ series consoles have NO expandability built into them. You cannot link two CQ systems together or connect a stage box to the CQ system. You also cannot use the CQ to otherwise expand another A&H system (trying to make the CQ function as a stage box for the other system). Also, there is no way to send/receive audio over the network connection. Furthermore, the CQ doesn’t have any expansion card slots so there are no I/O cards available (like Dante) like some of the other A&H systems have.
These are all design/hardware limitations and therefore they cannot be changed with firmware updates. If you need that “expandability” in your situation, then you need to consider another A&H system that offers those features. The CQ is not going to meet your needs.
