I would love to have a input meter pre-trim so I can see the gain stage properly. We use a digital split with Tie Lines to Dante, and some of our channels need lower gain in the house to avoid feedback. Since the input meter in the Preamp page only shows post-trim, and peak indicators are based on that meter, we are left to hearing the mic distort before we know that we are peaking the preamp.

THIS! I work at a venue where the FOH tech does not understand the concept of clipping the preamp because they trim down the channel after gaining it up. They think the preamp distortion sounds good, and the meters all look healthy and happy. Even if there were an indicator to say the preamp is clipping, that would be a wonderful addition.
