Just saw this while trawling the net and was wondering if anyone knows if this would work with a QU24? It’s only $10.
I wish the QU drive had the ability to record all channels from my QU24 but currently it doesn’t, no gripes there, it is what it is.
I know you can use a laptop via the USB B but this would be very handy, iPads are the Kings of handiness;)
Thoughts anyone?
Good idea.
I guess this depends on what information is sent via A&H port?
I’m not a rocket scientist in this area.
Another idea would be for the QU drive to be able to plug into an iPad to record or even to be used as a display for like RTA / meter bridge or an extension of any other TAB etc…
Hi robbocurry
After reading the manual… and more reading
MIDI over TCP Network – The rear panel Network
port is used for connection to a WiFi router to work
with an iPad running the Qu-Pad app. The app uses
these MIDI messages to remotely control the Qu
mixer. Alternatively, the Network port can be used with
a touch panel or other remote controller that allows
configurable MIDI over a TCP/IP port.
So it uses data…
Only A&H (or someone who is a rocket scientist) would know what else is transmitted.
And then of course this raises the question of iPad personal monitors
after reading this
There are obviously huge complications around recording into an iPad
after reading this
Thanks dhak, I knew it was probably too good to be true;)
