Hello, i wanted to update my SQ5 with the latest V1.6.0 but when i plug the usb stick , the SQ5 doesn’t find the file .bin
This is not the first time i update this mixer, i follow all the instructions mentionned in the release notes. I try with others usb drive that usually works with my SQ5. SQ drive is ok but on the firmware update page : no image found is writed.
Does any owners of SQ5 have this problem ?

Hi,
A&H described it in the Release Notes.
It seems, your using a Mac. There´s a problem with the file, if your using Sonoma or higher.
Do it with Windows and it will work.

Hi there -
Yes, there is an issue related to how Mac OS now shortens file names when working with FAT32 files.
There’s an article here which should help:
Always ensure you are renaming the file once it’s been copied to a USB device, and that your Trash/Bin is empty if you’ve deleted other files/firmware versions from the device.
Or you can copy using a Windows PC.
The good news is that it’s fixed in v1.6, but obviously we’ll only begin to see the benefits of this fix on subsequent releases.
