Push and Hold to talk to mix

Fairly simple idea to get your head around, assuming you’re using the standard talkback section (I’m not, but definitely would revert if this became a thing)

I think it would be great if you could hold your (Sel Mix PAFL Scene) softkey to be able to talk to that one mix. Maybe hold for a second, it switches to green or flashing green if latching etc

Eg: Guitarist looks/gestures at you, you miss the context, jump to their mix, hold the same softkey and ask for those hand signals again etc. without the whole band being involved/distracted.

That’s a neat idea. I like it. That said, I’d settle for being able to use an action that:

  • PAFL
  • SEL
  • MIX
  • Changes Talkback Group

I know this isn’t the solution, but I have used Mixing Station for this. I made seperate momentary talk buttons for all the mixes, and a momentary ‘talk to FOH’ that mutes talback and routes to the FOH shout.

Just if you need a workaround. :slight_smile:

I’ve done this on the surface for some shows and mixes, but it really chews up the available softkeys.

Yes, more action options would be great. One engineer I work with would really like a PAFL Additive button, currently he uses a bookmark to the PAFL settings screen, but a simple function button would be much faster.

I would love to have a secondary function for long press of any soft button. So a short press is SOF Aux 1 for example and a long press is talk to Aux 1.
