Q-16 using QuPad

While using QuPad with LR selected, the faders on the board move. When trying another feature such as Mix1, the mechanical faders do not move. Any thoughts?

Why should they move?
The app is independently controlling aux mixes.

Or to put it another way:
You also have to select Mix1 on the console to see that the faders move in that mix as well.

I’m a 1st time user; so, if I have the iPad in the rear of the room, with the board and iPad set for LR , the mechanical faders will change as the iPad sends it a signal. So, if want to change FX1 remotely, I must go back to the board and select FX1 and only then will the iPad be able to control the faders on the board? Thanks for your patience.

Oh no, of course not.
Whatever you do on your iPad is executed by the console, even if it’s not visible because it’s in a different mix.
But that way, for example, someone else could be mixing FOH on the desk, while you could be mixing the monitor on the iPad.

Got it. Makes sense. Thanks

Note I have the newer Qu series, Qu-5, so this only is a might apply. Feel free to disregard if my info isn’t applicable.

I have the app on my iPad Air. I first had the app setup inadvertently where the mixer and/or MixPad followed each other. On the app, left is MixPad then go under setup. The middle section has 3 switches labeled Follow Qu Mix Select, Follow Qu Channel Select, and display mix names.

With those first 2 selections to on, my app would follow the mixer. I don’t recall if it was also mixer followed app.

As soon as I found my mistaken setting choice, I turned them off.

Image of what I’ve mentioned.

Unfortunately, there are no options for the other direction (‘Follow MixPad … Select’).
