Q5D Assign Alt Out

On the old qu mixers Alt out had a volume knob. The new do not. How do i adjust it

Same as the XLRs, adjust the level of whatever you’re sending. It’s fully patchable, so most likely I’d route a matrix to it. Gives you complete control, without an analog knob which can’t be recalled with a scene.

The function of the pair of jacks has apparently changed and is now comparable to the SQ, where it’s simply called A Out and B Out.
On the old QU, the Alt Out was always a stereo output – also recognizable by the L R.
On the new QU, the ALT OUTs are two variably patchable outputs – also recognizable by the A B.
If used separately, for example, with the two different mix channels Mix1 and Mtx3, a single volume knob wouldn’t really make sense.
You can practically always control the ALT Out jacks with the master of the respective mix channel.

By the way: The term ALT Out no longer appears in the text of the User Guide and is probably only printed on the device.

Thank you ive searched the manual and checked all settings but could not locate it.
The matrix is a good idea

Ill see if it can be patched.
I use the alt out to send audio to a video mixer. Although the video mixer can adjust the input volume id like to also control from the mixer

For some reason the matrixs are not working. I dont know what im doing wrong.
Set input as mix 3 and 4 and out to A and B but no sound.

Currently have A and B set to follow LR

I think the software is faulty. Im running the latest firmware but when i set soft keys and use it once, it defaults back to mute groups.

Cureently have soft key 1,2 and 3 set for scens

Guess i have a factory reset it
