Qu-16 with Mixing Station

As you will soon realise I am a beginner in the dark art of Qu-16 management and would appreciate your help!

My church has a qu-16 with mikes on channels 1-4, ST1 (CD player) and LR speakers. I simply want to use Mixing Station on Android tablet to control the levels from anywhere in the church.

I have set up a Mix Stn layer to show Ch 1-4 but cannot find ST1 or overall master fader to place on the screen. Can anyone help?

Secondly Mix Stn will not control the faders on QU16 when set to LR. It will control faders on Mix1 but then the outputs do not go to LR speakers. Can anyone help?

I want to set up the simplest of arrangements with Mix Stn controlling 4 channels plus ST1 on the standard faders set to LR. Help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I’ll give it a try:
The ST1-3 will probably be displayed as Aux 1-3, and the Main you’ll find at the very bottom of the list.

Perhaps you should describe what you want to do with “Mix Stn” (?), Mix1, and the Main LR Mix.
At least it’s absolutely correct that the faders only move within the currently selected mix.

Many thanks SQuser

You’ve confirmed that Mix Stn will only control a Mix and not LR. My question then is how I can send Mix 1 to the main speakers?

Presumably the faders on Qu16 will still send to LR as usual when not connected to the tablet?

Thanks.

If you send your Main LR Mix to the speakers, you cannot send (another) Mix 1 to the speakers.
If you only want to send Mix 1 to the speakers, you must connect the speakers to the Mix 1 jack - possibly using a Y-cable if the mono output is to be sent to two power amplifiers.

I don’t understand what you mean - maybe my English.
“Mixing Station” is only a remote control of your mixing console.
It’s best to first configure everything so that it works on the console itself, and only then start controlling it with Mixing Station.
