Hey Buds,
As the title reads - other than the chrome knobs and sliders, are
there any other actual differences in the chrome vs. non-chrome versions of this beast?
Any other enhancements or features that aren’t included in the software upgrades?
Thank you,
Jim
Nope - it’s all in the software.
You can buy the chrome bits separately if you want to change the look of your pre-chrome desk (I await the second hand market of black controls for those who want to look like their desk is older)
So, no difference at all then, Bob? Just the sliders/knobs?
Software updates take care of the rest?
Same physical hardware, except for the caps.
Ok, thank you.
But I just want to confirm that the chrome versions won’t have any additional features or benefits than the non-chrome versions will have after any software upgrades, correct?
There are still some non-chrome versions around, and just want to make sure they’ll accept the same software upgrades and not be lacking in anyway afterwards compared to the chrome ones.
Sorry - don’t mean to belabor the point. Just want to be sure.
Thanks,
Jim
I understand the effort to labour the point, but it is a purely cosmetic difference (they haven’t even changed the XLR clips like they did with the AR2412)
