Qu 32 custom layer issue Sequoia

Hello, hope someone can help. I haven’t used the custom layer in a while so forgive my ignorance in this matter. I set up my custom layer and for som reason the first faders at the beginning of each group are connected. I would appreciate help correcting this issue.
Respectfully,
Stupaak

Are you using the custom layer on the mixer surface?

Yes Im using the custom layer

On the custom layer any fader can be any channel, mix send master, DCA, ect.
By chance are the fader channels linked stereo pairs or the same channel assigned to two faders?
Not sure what you mean by the “beginning of each group”.

I’m guessing here, but if you’re using the custom layer for MIDI/DAW Control, then each virtual control surface instance is a block of 8 strips (which might be what you mean by ‘group’?).
If you have not set up each of these blocks of 8 correctly - by assigning the same MIDI Control port to each control surface instance in your DAW for example - then you will get unwanted behaviour.

Hopefully you’ve already got the A&H MIDI Control app installed - https://www.allen-heath.com/hardware/controllers/midi-control/resources/
Ensure you follow the A&H MIDI Control help document exactly when setting it up - https://www.allen-heath.com/content/uploads/2024/06/AH-MIDI-Control-V2.10-Help_Iss1.pdf

There is a section at the end of page 3 which explains the separate ports - if you want to use your whole custom layer for DAW control, you will need to set up 4 control surfaces in your DAW, each connected to a separate virtual MIDI port created by the A&H MIDI Control app.

If this isn’t what’s going on, please provide more information on what you’re trying to do and what you’re using the Custom Layer for.
Thanks!
