QU-32 DCA Group Question

Hi folks,

I am using my QU-32 in a slightly unconventional way as my mixing desk linked up to Cubase for making recordings at home, rather than in a live situation. However, I think my question is probably applicable to both home recording and live situations.

I have my mix split into 4 DCA groups, Core, Rhythm, Vocals and FX. I notice that if I PAFL the Rhythm DCA group, the sum of the channels in it is consistently reaching at +6db with peaks at +12db. However my L/R PAFL is peaks around +3db.

Is there a problem with my mix such that I need to reduce the levels going into the DCA for the Rhythm DCA group to prevent some kind of inherent audio problem in the mix?

Thanks.
