Qu-32 hangs during firmware upgrade

Trying to make the firmware upgrade (from 1.94 to 1.97 version) using the manual in the archive with QUU file. Everything was fine and the upgrade was started successfully. But then, I waited for 4 hours and it still shows running PAN indicators. And nothing changes. Any clues? As it is forbidden to eject the USB, can i just turn it off? What is suggested in such cases?

PS: I decided to make an upgrade because of network port failure. Is it a common issue? Is it possible to resolve by firmware upgrade?

Maybe it’s not related but I’ve had a similar situation when I tried to update with a usb drive that had the update downloaded on a Mac M1. I deleted that file and did the same thing but now on an older Intel based Mac and it worked fine. This is a couple of years back though.
