QU 5/6/7 Feature Questions

As the reference guide isn’t yet available…

I noticed in Kieth’s ‘Live’ session that he mentioned there are no Tie Lines on the new QU series. The next best thing would be Input Direct Outputs with a source option of Post Preamp - is this supported?

Stereo channel width on SQ has become a very useful feature to me - is this implemented, especially on fixed stereo inputs 33-36?

Preamp Pad is missing on CQ (which I also use) which can be a problem with hot sources. I assume that it is supported for use with connected IO boxes, but what about local Preamps?

(All based only from Block Diagram)

1.Yes. Global Ip Out with Post Preamp(what is also post trim and polarity).

2.Yes. “3x fixed Stereo” is mentioned at the Input section where there is a Width function with Mode too.

3.Yes/No. Combo Local inputs. So if you need PAD (-20dB) you need to switch the connection from XLR to TRS. On Slink inputs you have a switchable option i think.

“Local analogue inputs shall use balanced XLR/TRS ‘combi’
sockets and connect to fully recallable, digitally controlled
preamplifiers. These shall be able to provide up to +60dB
of gain, with a -20dB Pad included on the TRS ¼ inch Jack
input for use with line level signals. Industry standard 48V
phantom power shall be switchable per socket and apply
only to the XLR connection.”
